Moody's: Moldova's Economy Set to Grow, but Financial Situation Remains Unstable Due to Russia

Moodys

Moldova’s economy is on the rise. The financial agency Moody’s is forecasting one percent growth this year. The International Monetary Fund, on the other hand, has been more cautious, announcing a week ago a 0.5 percent increase in GDP.

At the same time, Moody’s representatives maintain that Moldova’s financial situation remains unstable due to the unclear state of trade relations with Russia and the country’s dependence on money transfers from abroad.

As for the global economy, all financial agencies are revising their forecasts downward following the British decision to leave the European Union.
